Having got a “brief” from Omar Von Muller and his wife Mercy Holly&Lil designed two collar and lead sets specially for Uggie: the black patent bow with gold spots and black calf front with Gold piping and matching lead being a hot contender for the Oscars. http://t.co/hQkPKljK
On the night however Uggie was coordinated in a bow-tie matching the actor Jean Dujardin….. but the Holly&Lil lead, with it’s signature heart, made the carpet.
Holly&Lil are world famous for the bespoke collars and leads. And it is easy to see why.
The philosophy behind Holly&Lil is to combine the British tradition of quality handmade leatherwork with a keen design edge which no other company can match. All the collars are designer originals and made in London, England. Exciting new collections are introduced every season and Holly&Lil also offers a unique ‘Make Me One’ Bespoke service – used by show dog owners and many other people who want their dogs to wear complete one-offs.
So whether you are off to the Oscars or for a walk in the park, Holly&Lil have a special collar and lead just for your very special friend.

Lloyd Loom of Spalding is an innovative British manufacturer making the genuine Lloyd Loom weave and furniture using traditional techniques and materials.  Every piece is individually handmade using steam-bent beech wood and the unique twisted paper and wire Lloyd Loom weave and is coloured to the client’s specification. The factory and showroom has been in the market town of Spalding since 1985 and is the only company in the UK making Lloyd Loom furniture.  The range contains more than 150 different products.
How do you treat a very large window so that the space becomes interesting, gives privacy and can let in as much light as you want?
This was the problem Silent Gliss were recently confronted with when helping a client dress a large window in the kitchen.
Their solution was to use Andrea vertical waves designed by Eva Marmbrandt. Vertical waves form a sculptural wall when closed and you can easily determine the amount of light you want by adjusting the vertical louvres.
All Silent Gliss products are made to measure. Vertical waves start at £438.

Holly & Lil decided to relaunch their beautiful Brocade collection in time for the festive season for three reasons but mostly because they love it and so do their customers.
The Brocade collars are good for everyday use and are happy to take regular wetting, mud and fox poo rolling from active dogs. The backing is supple calf leather, rolled and piped around the edges of the cowhide to create a finish we’ve created to be kind to neck fur. Customers report that they are thrilled that although these collars are so durable, they don’t ‘carve’ collar lines and can help overcome matting in long or silky coats.
However,  if your dog is a constant neck ‘scratcher’, you will need to make sure that his or her claws are not tearing the weave of the Brocade.
All colourways come as both “Slims†and “Widesâ€.
Greyhound/lurcher collars are now available; use the Bespoke Option below to select.
NB: Sizes ½ and 1 ‘miniwides’ lightweight collars are specially designed for mini breeds such as Chihuahuas. Small terriers are better suited by our ‘Slim 5/8†full buckle’ design.

The Stockport Plaza Variety Theatre and Super Cinema is a magnificent example of a very grand building once found in every town and has been restored as a labour of love to its original purpose making it the last of its kind in the UK.
The cafe/restaurant has been meticulously brought back to life using old photos and the original furniture tracked down with the help of Lloyd Loom of Spalding.   They have made 200 new chairs in the Spalding factory which almost exactly match the originals from the 1930s – even the colour used, “Naples Greenâ€, is from an original Lloyd Loom formulation.
The colour now in their range of house colours.
Hand made British furniture one of the many details that have contributed to this projects success.Belton Armchair and the Lincoln Dining chair had non standard elementals such as extra wrappings and extra beams added to match the old styles.
