Chocolate Week 2012 takes place the 8th – 14th of October, and we have events running through till the 17th

Throughout the week the Rococo shops in London and Chester will be offering tasters of our Autumn collection of chocolates, along with samples of our award-winning drinking chocolate and competitions to win copies of Chantal Coady’s new book. We will also be participating in a series of events throughout the week and our Kings Road shop will have its Choc-Tales installation all week.

Monday 8th October – ‘Nothing like Chocolate’ UK Premiere of this documentary about The Grenada Chocolate Company and its visionary activist founder Mott Green. We will offer a tasting of the range of award-winning Grenada Chocolate Company bars, and the chance to purchase them.         Venue: Ritzy Cinema in Brixton. Time 7pm Entry: Free

Tuesday 9th OctoberMeet a Real Chocolate Maker – a chance to meet Mott Green of the Grenada Chocolate Company and to have a guided tasting of his chocolate bars.         Venue:  Rococo, 321 Kings Road. Time: 3-5pm      Entry: FREE


Wednesday 10th OctoberCHOC-TALES IN OUR KINGS ROAD STORE. With Rococo approaching its 30th anniversary, throughout Chocolate Week the Kings Road store will be transformed into an interactive audio-visual installation with original memorabilia documenting the 4 decades of Rococo. The Choc-Tales evening will include a preview of the new Rococo Autumn collection, accompanied by cocktails and extreme Rococo canapés. There will be the chance to meet the founder of  Rococo, Chantal Coady, and to buy a copy of her new book: Rococo, Mastering the Art of Chocolate from 630-730pm

Cocktails and extreme canapés in 2 sittings 6-7pm and 7-8pm  Tickets £10 (includes one cocktail and a selection of chocolate canapés) from Kings Road (see below)

Thursday 11th OctoberChocolate and Wine Tasting at Rococo Marylebone High St. led by our own expert sommelier Luciana Girotto. Enjoy some interesting combinations in the heart of foodie Marylebone. Venue: Rococo, 45 Marylebone High St. Time: 6.30 – 7.30pm  Entry: £10 places must be booked in advance as there is limited availability.

Saturday 13th OctoberChocolate Afternoon Tea  Enjoy a selection of sandwiches, savouries,  scones and cakes and teas with a chocolate theme. Venue: 5 Motcomb St. Time: 2 sittings 2.30-4pm and 4.30-6pm  Introductory price £20  Advance booking essential as numbers are strictly limited!

Saturday 13th October Chocaligraphy Kids Workshop. Venue: Motcomb St.   Time: 10.30 – 12.30pm  Entry: FREE but places must be booked in advance as there is limited availability.

Sunday 14th October – Choc-opera! The highlight of the week, this will be a chance to experience the wibbly wobbly world of improvised opera performed by the brilliant Impropera, brought to you by Rococo Chocolates and Cadogan Estates for the benefit of the wonderful charity Kid’s Company!  To be enjoyed by adults and children alike.

Venue: Cadogan Hall, Culford Room SW1. Tickets to be purchased in advance from Rococo    Time: 3-4pm  Entry: £15  but places must be booked in advance as there is limited availability.

The ‘Love Bug’ Chocolate Bar in aid of Kids Company will also make its debut here. All profits from this and from entry tickets will be donated to Kids Company.

Monday 15th October – to cap off the week in style the 3rd annual 3 course themed Chocolate Tasting Dinner will be held at Hardy’s Brasserie & Wine Bar. Each course will be based on recipes  from Chantal’s new book, followed by a tasting of 3 Rococo ganaches and dessert wines. Time – Book signing from 6.30pm, dinner from 7.30pm, one sitting.

One of the highlights of the chocolate year when all the UK’s top chocolate makers get together with selected international participants in one space. Samples, tastings and demos galore! Venue: ·  LFM, 45 Wellington Street ·  Covent Garden ·  London ·  WC2E 7BN  Time 10.30 – 5pm

Wednesday 17th October – Silversea / Mundy Chocolate Cruise Launch Party. Champagne reception and Rococo extreme Canapes. Venue: 5 Motcomb St. Time: 6.15 – 7.45pm

There will be the chance to meet Rococo’s founder Chantal Coady who is hosting our Caribbean Gourmet Chocolate Cruise aboard Silver Whisper in November 2013.  Chantal will be on hand to talk to you about “all things Chocolate” and Mundy Cruising and Silversea will be in attendance to speak about the fantastic 10 night Chocolate Cruise which includes a 3 night stay in Barbados and ports of call such as Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire, Margarita Island and Grenada.
