“Dystopian London, a bittersweet sculpture made from chocolate constructed by Tom Dixon and Chantal Coady…
“It was great fun working with Tom on this project – he really challenged the material (chocolate) to its limits. We spent many hours working out how to create a really fragile piece – the crane, and Tom carved out of slabs of chocolate to create tower blocks while I worked on the glossy glass like shards to clad the chocolate obelisks, with inspiration from Frank Guirey and Renzo Piano. It came together at the very last moment, I have to admit we sailed close the edge and I was so happy to hear that they had arrived at the V&A in perfect condition” Chantal said.
