The new store will have an even wider selection of delectable handmade chocolates, artisan bars, chocolate figurines and classic gift boxes.

This larger store will also feature a cosy cafe and garden terrace where customers can meet friends and enjoy award winning hot chocolate, and freshly made barista coffee from local roasters Adams + Russell Coffee Roasters

The new shop will also feature a unique Chocolate Classroom which will host workshops, tastings and for all kinds of groups events and occasions from children’s birthdays, to corporate team building to sophisticated hen parties!

VIP guests will be invited to attend an evening party at the new store hosted by Rococo Chocolates Founder, Chantal Coady and her husband James Booth on Thursday 8 June and Rococo Chocolates will open its door for the soft launch on 31 May.

Manager, Peter Kubica: “I’m really excited about the possibilities that this new location will bring. Chantal Coady, OBE:

In 1983, a young woman dared to follow her dreams, to share with others her love for real chocolate.  Following on from a Saturday job in Harrods selling chocolate, Chantal knew she wanted to create her own magical emporium of luxury chocolate. She envisaged Rococo to be a chocolate paradise, so armed with a little knowledge, a dangerous passion and the belief that there was room for a radically different approach to chocolate, Chantal opened the doors of the first Rococo Chocolates shop on the Kings Road in Chelsea. Rococo is known for Ethical Luxury, Chantal has invested in a cocoa farm in Grenada where they work with the local farmers and the Grenada Chocolate Company to add value to this most important crop.

More than three decades and five shops later Chantal is still pioneering the movement for real chocolate.  In 2014 Chantal Coady was awarded an O.B.E. in the Queen’s Birthday Honours ‘For Services to Chocolate’ recognising her long and ground-breaking career.

After a long dark winter, we all long for the sun to come streaming through our windows, but sometimes there can be just too much of a good thing. Silhouette® Shades take the harshest sunlight and transforms it into beautiful natural light; all you have to do is tilt the vanes to enjoy more natural daylight. The vanes will diffuse and spread the light evenly throughout the room, filtering out brightness, glare and UV rays.

Luxaflex® Silhouette® Shades are also great when it comes to controlling your privacy – a view to the outside when open during the day and when completely closed in the evenings, you can enjoy your seclusion.

Silhouette® Shades are available in a wide range of beautiful fabrics and sophisticated on-trend colours. Each fabric has its own unique feel – with a choice of new silk looks, subtle linens -all designed to create subtly filtered light.

New to the range is: Promenade – a nature inspired fabric design with a soft, casual look, it is available in five soft tone colours.  Ombre – a stylish light dimming fabric designed to subdue light when needed it is available in seven colours.  Bayou – a fresh linen design with a warm look available in three saturated colours. Lumière –  an elegant sheer fabric with a subtle structure it is available in five colours. Éclair – a beautifully textured fabric that subtly plays with light it is available in four colours. French Linen – a linen look fabric with a casual, sophisticated style that compliments every décor, comes in four colours.

There are even special screen fabrics that will reduce the heat coming into the room up to 25% and deflect and dim the sun’s rays. When the vanes are closed, you will also enjoy up to 99% UV protection.

Silhouette® Shades can be operated in many ways from manual to motorised controls. Enjoy the convenience of PowerView® Motorisation and control your blinds from smart phone, tablet or remote. We are getting into the long period of daylight which last late into the evening and starts very early in the morning. A wonderful time of the year, but it can be difficult to sleep in a room filled with light. Sleep is as important to our health as eating, drinking and breathing. It allows our bodies to repair themselves and our brains to consolidate our memories and process information.

Poor sleep is linked to physical problems such as a weakened immune system and mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.

Now might be a good time to invest in darkening blinds -some call them black out blinds. To help you get a good night’s sleep Luxaflex® has a developed a beautiful range of room darkening fabrics for your home. And they are very stylish to fit in with your décor be it traditional or contemporary.

Best of British: A Staycation for Rococo flavours in 2017

Having jetted around the world exploring exotic flavours last year, and with all the World Events, Rococo Chocolates has decided to celebrate what is close to home and is staying in the UK for 2017 and finding exciting local specialities, distinct flavours and seasonal ingredients – all the goodness the regions have to offer.  The Spring Collection takes us to the North and Wales. The beauty of Wales brings gifts from nature with Pembrokeshire Sea Salt and a delicate Rosewater: the only one from welsh-grown roses. For the North, Karen Waller, head chocolatier and her team worked their magic on local classics, with Liquorice, Rhubarb, and a Bakewell Pudding. The selection is both beautiful and delicious.

Sea Salted Caramel

A dark, smoky caramel, with Halen Môn oak-smoked sea salt, decorated with spirulina to look like the crashing waves of the Welsh coast.

Rose of the Valleys

A traditional, soft fondant, flavoured with a hint of delicate ‘Petals of the Valley’ Rosa Damascena rosewater, distilled in copper stills in the Monmouthshire valleys.

Rhubarb & Liquorice

Paying tribute to Yorkshire, the chocolatiers combined the Liquorice of Pontefract Cake nostalgia with Rhubarb, in homage to the home of the Rhubarb Triangle.

Cherry Bakewell

Dark, Cherry jelly and Amaretto-laced marzipan come together to form a delicious, chocolate version of the Derbyshire classic.”

The Spring collection is available in Rococo stores and online anyday now, in 12 and 4 choc boxes £17.95 and £6.50 and loose in store too at £14.20 per 100g.

Sack Cloth & Ashes or Chocolate & Charity?

Chocolate has long been top of the list of things to give up for Lent, and now Rococo Chocolates has come up with a revolutionary idea: the Absolution bar. By buying your favourite bar, you are making a donation of £1.00 which goes to the The Lent Appeal 2017 in the Parish of St Paul’s Knightsbridge*. The bar will be given a special Absolution wrapper; the design is a collaboration with Mr Smith’s Letterpress. The inspiration came following a challenge from the Rev Alan Gyle*, to Chantal Coady OBE, founder and owner of Rococo Chocolates, she explained: “As a ‘good’ Convent girl,  I was always encouraged to give up chocolate for Lent which I found a trial. I would have loved the opportunity to pay for my indulgences… now I can make up for lost time!”

ALEXANDER ARMSTRONG (Broadcaster and TV Presenter of BBC1’s Pointless):

“I’ve always struggled to give up chocolate for the season of Lent. Here is a great way of giving in to temptation and doing good at the same time – with Absolution! This partnership between my London church and one of my favourite Chocolate Companies is a great opportunity to support the ALMA Link between the Diocese of London and the Church in Angola and Mozambique.”

THE REVEREND RICHARD COLES (Broadcaster and Vicar)

During my time in the Parish of St Paul’s Knightsbridge it was only prayer and the Rococo Chocolate shop in Motcomb Street that kept me sane! This delicious collaboration between two of Belgravia’s great institutions is a win-win for the holy season of Lent: chocolate for you and the knowledge that you’re supporting an emerging and fruitful partnership between one of the world’s most privileged corners in London’s Belgravia and one of the world’s poorest in Mozambique.

SAHAR HASHEMI OBE (co-founder of Coffee Republic, Skinny Candy, author and speaker)

Our church is always looking for ways to transform life and to make a connection between daily living and the work of the Kingdom of God. Chantal Coady OBE and Fr Alan Gyle have come up with a simple, delicious and clever way of contributing to the Lent Appeal in 2017. And of course if you feel guilty about eating the chocolate yourself during the Lenten season of austerity, you can either keep it for Easter or buy it and give it as a gift – a gift that gives twice!

*The Lent Appeal 2017 in the Parish of St Paul’s Knightsbridge is in support of an emerging link between one of London’s most privileged parishes and one of the world’s poorest – All Saints Namhavila in Mozambique. This new partnership is just the latest expression of a longstanding link between the Diocese of London and the Church in Angola and Mozambique (The ALMA Link).

St Paul’s Knightsbridge: registered charity No. 1134857

Lent starts on Ash Wednesday March 1st 2017

The traditional 40 day fast runs up to midnight on Easter Saturday April 12th.
